Some Changes

2.22.2013

Hello there!  Notice anything different? It may looks like the blog has been quiet for awhile, but I have been putting a lot of time spiffing it up a bit.  And burying out of snow.  Which helped with not having to work and spending time in front of the computer.  Thank you mother nature.

Anyway my tutorials up above are now nicely organized and set up in way that I can easily update.  So that will actually happen.  And I have some new graphics on my sidebar which will hopefully make navigation easier.  Not to mention that I think they look nice.

I have learned some things through this re-design other than I don’t have any clue what I am doing with Photoshop.  I also took bad pictures in the past.  And I have made a lot more quilts than I realized. (So many they even have a tab on the top now.  And when you click on it  you will pictures and links to quilts.  It is oh so cleverly titled “quilts”).

I broke down and joined Instagram.  I did not want to do another social media avenue because, in addition to sucking at Photoshop, I suck at things like posting on Facebook.  But I have to say after a week or two, I am loving it.  My link to my Instagram account is over on the side (and right here) as well as my Pinterest account (and right here).

Not to mention that things look a lot different as well.  So if you are in a reader, pop on over when you have a minute.  If for nothing else than to laugh at my picture I took of myself in the mirror on the side bar.  I will let you in on a little secret.  The background on that one?  My incredibly ugly and untouched pink bathroom.  Good things I have mad Photoshop skills.  And a sense of irony since this is a DIY blog.

Anyway I hope you like it and I hope to be back soon.  I have tons of things to post.  In addition to all the pretty changes, I have a new organization system that helps me keep track of it all.  I live so dangerously.

  1. love the new look! not sure if it’s just me, but when I click on the side links for the how to ace cabinet and trim paint it takes me to the how to raised garden beds instead of the correct post. Just fyi :)

  3. Jenny this looks sooooooooo good. I love it all. The sidebar is awesome. I've been working on adding some pretties to my sidebar too. And by working, I mean I've been thinking of working on it. ;) love your picture, too.

Your quilts always inspire me. So I'm off to check them out. I happened to have to joy to be looking at one of your masterpieces right now in my own home.

  4. I love the new look, and your picture is too darn cute! I need to do some serious blog clean up. Here's hoping for some consistent baby nap times to help me with that in the next couple of months!!

  5. Jenny - The blog looks great - I love the new design. Did you design it yourself? The organization is very clever too.

    1. The overall blog design was from Bella Lulu Ink on Etsy. She was great to work with and then I just added some of my own stuff on the side. Glad you like it!
